Your car isn't in the German catalogue? It's in ours.
BYD, Hongqi, Dongfeng, GWM, Seres, DFSK, Jac, BAW, Foton, Maxus: if your vehicle has no German HSN/TSN type code, comparison portals fail at the first input mask. We have insured exactly these cars for years, Germany-wide: pick your model in our online quote form and we find the cheapest suitable cover. Accept it and you get the eVB number you need to register the car.
Driving a "normal" car with German type codes? Then head straight to our general car insurance request – we compare the market just as happily for a Golf or a Passat.
Why "no HSN/TSN" breaks most insurers.
HSN and TSN are Germany's manufacturer and type key numbers – the IDs insurers use to classify vehicles. Imports and small-series cars registered via individual approval (Sec. 13 EG-FGV / Sec. 21 StVZO) often have none. The result:
- Comparison portals: no type code, no calculation – dead end.
- Traditional insurers: manual review, weeks of waiting, frequent rejection.
- Wrong classification: those who do get accepted often pay inflated "exotic" surcharges.
How we insure cars without type codes.
We work with insurers that rate vehicles by the technical data in the individual approval – power, value, segment – instead of failing on a missing TSN. Out of those offers we pick the cheapest one that fits your car. Once you accept it, you receive the matching eVB number – with it, the registration office can register the vehicle.
- Liability, partial and full casco available
- Purchase-price compensation negotiable
- First imports and EU new vehicles welcome
- English support through the whole registration process
