Insuring the DFSK Glory 580 – the seven-seater, fairly rated
With up to seven seats, the DFSK Glory 580 – closely related to the Fengon 580 – is a practical family SUV at a fair price. It usually arrives in Germany as an import with individual approval, and without German type codes many insurers wave you off. We don't: we insure the Glory 580 at regular conditions, including the eVB number you need to register it.

A family car without insurance hurdles
Glory 580, Fengon 580 – depending on market and model year the SUV carries different names. For the insurance that doesn't matter: what counts are the technical data from the individual approval, not the trade name. Online calculators usually know neither and abort; whoever does get accepted often pays a blanket surcharge.
We rate the Glory 580 for what it is: a family SUV in the Tiguan Allspace segment. Liability, partial and full casco are available, the vehicle value is documented cleanly via purchase contract and first registration – and secured with a new-price or purchase-price clause if you wish.
Seven seats almost always means several drivers. The driver circle therefore belongs in the contract in full – partner, grandparents, later young drivers too. Too narrow a driver clause is the most common and most expensive mistake in a claim; we put it straight into the quote.
Beyond that, no-claims class, regional class and annual mileage set the premium. In casco we watch the family risks: glass damage on the holiday trip, wildlife collisions on country roads, hail in the car park – and a valuation that reflects the 580 with the equipment it actually has.
